AEK Larnaca vs Aberdeen - UEFA Conference League MD3 Preview

AEK Larnaca vs Aberdeen
UEFA Conference League
League Stage MD 3

Aberdeen are in sun kissed Cyprus this evening as they look for to record their first league stage points of their European campaign away to Larnaca.

Here's the micro preview...……

TELLY & KO
This one is a 17:45 kick off with coverage on TNT Sports 3 from 17:30.

PREVIOUSLY
Larnaca started off in the very early Europa League qualifiers, beating Partizan Belgrade on pens after a 2-2 aggregate draw before then eliminating Celje with a 3-2 win over two legs. They then smashed Legia Warsaw 5-3 on aggregate setting up a play off decider against Brann of Norway which proved a step too far as they went down 6-1 on aggregate including a heavy 4-0 loss at home.

Moving into the Conference League they currently sit 2nd in the table with a 100% record from their opening 2 games having thrashed AZ Alkmaar 4-0 in Cyprus before recording a fabulous 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace in London.

LEAGUE FORM
AEK are currently 5th in the Cypriot First Division with 5 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats from their opening 9 games of the season. They are in very good form though, with just 1 loss in their last 8 in all competitions, including 6 wins.

REFEREE
The ref tonight is Dalibor Černý from the Czech Republic. He's averaging just under 4 cards per game this season and is yet to show a red this term after issuing 6 in 25 matches last term.

BOOKIES
Unsurprisingly the home side are hot favs tonight at a very skinny 1/2. Aberdeen are a huge 21/4 to leave Cyprus with the point with the draw still pretty big at 10/3.

DIVS BONKERS BET
Larnaca have scored in 14 of 16 games in all competitions this season and Aberdeen have leaked like a sieve in Europe so far this term, conceding 14 times across their 4 matches to date.

Riad Bajic has scored in both AEK's Europa games so we will chuck him in for one tonight and as a total punt we will add in centre back Hrvoje Milicevic to notch as well as he seems to be their penalty taker, scoring 4 times from the spot in the Cypriot league over the last 5 weeks.

He's a ridiculously big price so those two alone gets us an 18/1 shot.

Very best of luck to the Dandy Dons tonight!
