Rangers blow as key man a 'major doubt' for Europa League clash vs Standard Liege

Steven Gerrard has confirmed that Ryan Jack is a ‘major doubt’ for Rangers’ Europa League clash against Standard Liege at Ibrox on Thursday night.

Rangers are currently priced up at as high as 40/1 with bookmakers and high roller online casinos to win the Europa League should you fancy a punt.

The Gers can secure progression to the Round of 32 with a win over the Belgian club, while a draw would also be enough should Lech Poznan fail to beat Benfica in Portugal.

However, the home side could be without key man, Jack, who is still struggling with a muscle injury.

The 28-year-old picked up the problem in a 4-0 win over his old club Aberdeen last month and has since missed fixtures against Benfica and Falkirk.

Jack is a ‘major doubt’ to face Standard Liege, with his manager asserting that he has a ‘good chance’ of being ready to face Ross County on Sunday.

Rangers go into the game as 1/2 favourites with https://www.cancasinos.ca which may well be worth a punt, especially with the recent news that Joe Aribo and Brandon Barker are both in contention.

Aribo has missed the last two matches with a minor illness, while Barker limped out of Sunday’s win over Falkirk in just the 26th minute.

“Aribo will hopefully be back with us, assuming he comes through today’s session,” said Gerrard. “Barker will train his morning and hopefully make the squad.”

Having won two and drawn two of their opening four matches, Rangers are currently top of Group D on eight points.
