Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane Celtic rumours addressed after 'leaked' document

Despite suggestions on social media, Celtic have not made contact with Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane according to a report.

A document was leaked that appeared to show Celtic announcing that former Hoops boss O'Neill is to replace current Celtic boss Neil Lennon in the dugout.

According to the document, long-time assistant boss Keane would join him at Celtic Park with a deal being signed until the end of the season.

But the Daily Record have reported that Lennon will definitely remain in charge of the club for the upcoming Europa League game against AC Milan, and claimed that there is no truth in the rumours.

The Scottish side travel to face in-form AC Milan on Thursday who are leading Italy's Serie A. and are a massive 10/1 with the best payout online casino to pull off an upset.

The report states that the leaked document has been confirmed as ‘completely false’ and Celtic haven’t reached out to the ex-Ireland boss to take over in the role.

Meanwhile, former Celtic striker Charlie Nicholas insists Lennon should be axed because he hasn't 'earned the right' to be Hoops boss.

"Neil is a lucky, lucky boy to have had the privilege to manage Celtic on two occasions.

"On the first occasion, he didn't earn it. He got it on the back of Tony Mowbray being sacked.

"Mowbray had been made promises by the Celtic board, who are also under scrutiny now, and they reneged on them.

"That board didn't deliver and then turned to Lenny, ironically after a Ross County defeat.

"He did a fine job and he got them off and running towards Nine In A Row but it was never the most taxing job in the world.

"Also, when Neil came back, he didn't earn the right to become Celtic manager."
