Assessment Of Scotland’s Chances At The Euros

Scottish football has always been a proud part of life in the North, mainly down to the fact that Celtic and Rangers have become such household names, not just in Scotland, but around the world due to the size of these clubs. However, it isn’t club football that we want to talk about, as Scottish fans this summer are looking forward to their first major national tournament in 22 years and something that the whole country is looking forward too, but what are their chances in the tournament?

Scotland’s opening game sees Czech Republic travels fittingly to Hampden Park in which is possible the most winnable game for the Tartan Army and if they are looking to progress out of the group, this is a must win game. The Czech Republic were in the same qualifying group as England for the tournament and came second in Group A and in promising news, Scotland have played Czech Republic in the past 12 months, both of which were won by Steve Clark’s men. Both sides are ranked joint 45th in the world, and whoever wins this game ‘might’ be in with a chance of progressing to the next round of fixtures.

Next up for Scotland is the grudge match that everyone in Great Britain will be looking forward to where Scotland visit Wembley to take on England in which promises to be the game of the group stage. England are of course one of the heavyweights in the tournament and are currently the favourites for the tournament priced at 11/2 with Belgium and France. The last time Scotland and England met was back in 2017 when Harry Kane scored an injury time equaliser to make it 2-2 but this time this game means much more, especially in a major national tournament.

Many football punters will be looking to this game as one of the most gambled game of the tournament due to the history, but we are currently seeing a trend of sports punters migrating to online casinos, many examples here, where they are using their favourite casino games such as roulette and poker to produce a profit before the tournament kicks off in June.

And finally, Steve Clarke’s last match will see them return to Hampden Park and face Croatia who we believe will be their main rivals of getting through to the next round and might be all on this game to see who goes through with England. Croatia is currently ranked 9th in the world but we do believe this to be a bit steep as the Croatia of old now have an aging squad including Luka Modric, Mario Mandzukic and Ivan Perisic and we believe that if there is a good opportunity to beat Croatia, then now is the time.
